The VIII Workshop on Atomic and Molecular Physics will be held in Jurata, Poland,
from 14th to 18th September 2015. The Workshop is organized
by the Institute of Experimental Physics of the University of Gdańsk and the Faculty
of Applied Physics and Mathematics of Gdańsk University of Technology.
Jurata is an attractive, modern, elegant and snobbish seaside resort developed from a small fishing village.
The main goal of the Workshop is to maintain contacts between scientific groups working in the fields of photonic, atomic and molecular physics in Poland, European Union and others countries. The Workshop is designed to be a meeting for physicists working on phenomena and spectroscopy of the atomic and molecular systems. Special attention is paid to encourage the participation of young researchers and to promote opportunity to present their research achievements.
Scope and Program of the Workshop
The Workshop focuses on all aspects of processes, phenomena and spectroscopy of
atomic and molecular systems in gaseous, liquid and condensed matter.
The scientific program of the Workshop will include invited plenary lectures and review talks on topics of more general interest given by leading scientists from European laboratories. Contributed papers will be presented during poster sessions but some will be selected for oral presentations as hot topics.
The contributed papers and the invited talks will be published in the European Physical Journal, Special Topics. Papers from our last meeting in 2012 have been published in The European Physical Journal Special Topics, Vol. 222, No. 9 (October 2013) „Advances in Atomic and Molecular Physics”
The official conference language is English.
We hope that the Workshop will stimulate and promote new research initiatives and establish close scientific contacts.
